District//S

Objective

District //S is a large scale, multi-purpose neighborhood, with residential, commercial, coworking, hospitality, property management, and community services. With a vision of excellence and digitization, the organization’s management reached a standstill, affecting construction and implementation plans. They were facing issues in harmonizing the different offerings, given the diversity of users and complexity of experiences, and implementing its digital platform.

Realization & Impact

After immersing ourselves with all the project’s users, and capturing the management’s objectives, we created a nature-inspired concept for the District. Similarly to natural ecosystems, the District is composed of a variety of users. In such ecosystems, the true value of platforms lie in their ability to maximize virtuous interactions between the “organisms”. We cascaded this vision into integrated experiences for residents, investors, businesses, freelancers, service providers, and the district’s civil components, to enhance their livability and connectivity.

Project Approach

In 3 months, we accomplished our objectives through the following activities:

  • ►  Field Study: Extracted essential user expectations through interviews with all stakeholders, site visits, and technology simulations
  • ►  Ideation Workshops: Strategized with management and mapped platform objectives to all potential platform services
  • ►  Vision Creation and User Journey Design: Defined the project’s vision and designed the integrated user experience embedding potential services
  • ►  Macro Specification: Defined macro functional specifications and business models across journeys
  • ►  Platform Business Model: Defined optimal business model maximizing per sqm profit, and developed the revenue and cost model including enterprise valuation
  • ►  Prototyping: Prototyped essential platform services (e.g. home tablet screens).
  • ►  Implementation Planning: Produced design, development, and deployment
